PushIt2Me is an iPhone application that will allow end-users to receive emails on their iPhone just like they receive text messages: A notification will appear on the screen while running any iPhone app or while the phone is even sleeping.
Users will have a unique email address (myName@pushit2me.com) that can be used to receive messages on their iPhone or iPod touch.
During his keynote address to the Interop
Conference in New York, David Pogue
did a live demo of PushIt2Me as part of his talk on iPhone apps every systems administrator needs. Even with spotty cell coverage, he was able to get his messages.
Apple approved the application today and it is now available on the App Store.
